Overview
The 2010 BMW X5 is a ready for anything-anywhere premium sports activity vehicle (SAV) that offers quality comfort, safety, and luxury. It can seat up to seven passengers and is available in - xDrive30i, xDrive48i and X5 xDrive35d trims.
Power and performance
The 2010 BMW X5 xDrive30i trim is powered by a 260-hp, 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine. The xDrive48i trim is equipped with a 350-hp, 4.8-liter V8 engine. A six-speed automatic transmission with Steptronic manual shift mode, as well as BMW's xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system is standard on both trims. The X5 xDrive35d pumps out 265 hp and delivers 26 mpg on highways.
Body and styling
On the xDrive30 trim, the standard exterior features include 18-inch alloy wheels; Xenon Adaptive Headlights with auto-leveling and Corona headlight-rings; Halogen free-form fog lights with Cornering Lights function; and intermittent rain-sensing windshield wipers with adjustable vehicle-speed-sensitive wiping interval; single-wipe control; and windshield-washer system with heated washer jets.
Inside, the 2010 BMW X5 seats five but the optional third row seat increases this capacity to seven. A 10-way power-adjustable driver and front passenger seat with memory system for the driver's seat is standard on the X5. An anti-theft AM/FM stereo CD radio with Radio Data System (RDS); MP3 capabilities; 3-channel FM diversity antenna system; high-fidelity 10-speaker sound system that includes 2 subwoofers under the front seats; and a digital 7-channel amplifier with 205 watts of power are some standard entertainment features on the xDrive30i trim.
